Our 68th Season opening concert features virtuoso saxophonist Johan Eriksson as he joins the symphony for pieces by Bozza and Itturalde. Also included in the program is Gershwin’s American in Paris Suite and music from the French composer Bizet.
A Holiday Concert: The Anaconda and Butte High School chorals join the Butte Symphony for the annual Holiday Concert. Travel around the world as the orchestra and chorales treat you to Holiday music from many different countries and cultures.
Beethoven and Grieg
Our third concert will feature the orchestra in Beethoven’s Symphony #1. This symphony announced Beethoven’s musical genius to his new home in Vienna and pays homage to his teachers Mozart and Haydn. Also on the program is Edvard Grieg’s great Peer Gynt Suite. A wonderful concert evening to say goodbye to winter and warm welcome to spring.
Bach Beethoven, and Mussorgsky are the composers for this closing concert of the 68th season. Sarah Harmsworth, winner of the recent MASO competition a joins the orchestra for a violin concerto by Bach, with the evening ending with the Mussorgsky classic, Pictures at an exhibition.
